Future Apple smart glasses will become a personal fitness coach

Apple is planning to turn its upcoming smart glasses into a new device for health and fitness tracking. The new features will allow users to wear the glasses during workouts, although they are expected to arrive in future versions rather than the first-generation model.
Originally, Apple intended to make the Vision Pro headset its fitness platform by developing a dedicated version of the Fitness+ app. However, the company abandoned the idea because the headset's weight makes it impractical for active exercise. As a result, the project has been shifted to a lighter smart glasses form factor.
According to industry experts, Apple's Vision Products Group has already opened a position for a specialist to develop sports-related features. At the early stage of the project, the company faces the challenge of implementing advanced fitness capabilities in a device without a built-in display.
In the future, the smart glasses are expected to use built-in cameras and motion analysis technology to monitor whether users perform exercises correctly. The device will also be fully integrated into Apple's unified health services ecosystem.
