Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Japan, Atadurdy Bayramov, met in Tokyo with new Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Kazuhiko Amakawa.

During the talks, the Turkmen diplomat congratulated the head of the financial institution on his appointment and expressed confidence in the continued successful development of their bilateral economic partnership.

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has traditionally been a key partner for Turkmenistan in financing major industrial and technological projects implemented in the country with the participation of leading Japanese companies. Among the most significant of these are the natural gas-to-gasoline (GTG) plant in the Akhal province, the Garabogazkarbamid gas chemical complex, and the state-owned power plant in the Charjew district of the Lebap province.
