A New Natural Gas Flow Has Been Obtained at the Çemmerli Field in the Karakum Desert

A new appraisal and production well, No. 265, has been commissioned at the Çemmerli gas field in the Central Karakum Desert. Commercial gas flow from this well has exceeded 150,000–200,000 cubic meters per day.
Specialists from the Dovletabadgazchykarysh department of the Turkmengas Concern drilled a 1,200-meter well. During reservoir testing at 1,114–1,110 meters, drillers recorded a stable daily flow rate, confirming the high commercial productivity of the site.
Development of the Çemmerli field is part of a program to expand the resource base of the domestic oil and gas industry. The commissioning of new high-flow wells is aimed at increasing gas production, meeting the country's domestic needs, and strengthening Turkmenistan's export potential in the global energy market.
