Turkmen fighter Dovletjan Yagshimuradov has become "UN Goodwill Ambassador for Friendship Games"


Renowned Turkmen mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, light heavyweight athlete of the prestigious Professional Fighters League (PFL), and international-level champion Dovletjan Yagshimuradov has been appointed as the "UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Friendship Games of the United Nations."
The official presentation ceremony of the certificate to the athlete took place at the UN Headquarters. The document was presented to him by Vepa Hajiyev, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN.
On September 6, 2024, at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, upon the initiative of Turkmenistan and with the unanimous support of the Organization's member states, the resolution "United Nations Games" was adopted, in accordance with which the Friendship Games are held on an annual basis.
