Serdar Berdimuhamedov Received the New UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan


President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, Xiaojun Grace Wang, who presented the head of state with credentials from UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of strategic partnership, covering global security, preventive diplomacy, the climate agenda, and sustainable development. The head of state emphasized that interaction with the UN and its specialized agencies remains an absolute foreign policy priority for neutral Turkmenistan.
Currently, cooperation is developing within the framework of the five-year Sustainable Development Framework for 2026–2030. The Turkmenistan-UN Strategic Advisory Council, covering projects ranging from energy security and transport corridors to environmental and humanitarian issues, serves as an important platform for coordinating joint initiatives. Xiaojun Grace Wang assured that she will make every effort to expand effective dialogue and successfully implement joint programs aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the region.
