Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Appoints New Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan

Türkiye has appointed a new ambassador to Turkmenistan. According to a decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the official government gazette Resmi Gazete on July 18, Şener Cebeci will head Türkiye's diplomatic mission in Ashgabat.
Before his new appointment, Cebeci served as Deputy Director General for Central Asian Affairs at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He succeeds Ahmet Demirok, who had served as Türkiye's ambassador to Turkmenistan since January 2024.
Under the presidential decree, Ahmet Demirok has been recalled to the central office of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
