Avaza to Host Caspian Environmental Summit


ASHGABAT, July 20 | ORIENT. The Avaza National Tourist Zone is preparing to host the Caspian Environmental Summit in October 2026. Experts and diplomats have already begun coordinating a package of documents that will outline the vectors for joint protection of the region's ecosystem.
Preparations for the summit were discussed at a meeting of Turkmenistan's Interdepartmental Commission on the Caspian Sea. The upcoming summit will become a key platform for promoting the country's international environmental initiatives and expanding cooperation with global environmental institutions. In parallel, specialized events are being prepared for the upcoming Caspian Sea Day.
The environmental forum will be a key part of the large-scale autumn agenda on the Caspian coast. In October, Avaza will host a series of high-level meetings, including the Central Asian and Azerbaijan Summit, a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, ministerial consultations on water resources, and the International Women's Dialogue.
