The Google Pixel 11 series could mark a major technological breakthrough and even beat Apple to the market with the latest chip technology. The new Tensor G6 processor is expected to become the world's first mobile chip manufactured using TSMC's cutting-edge 2-nanometer process.

Apple has traditionally been the first company to adopt TSMC's newest manufacturing technology. However, Google is reportedly aiming to get ahead this time. The Pixel 11 lineup is expected to launch earlier, making it the first flagship smartphone series powered by next-generation 2nm chips. The iPhone 18 series, featuring Apple's A20 processor, is expected to arrive about a month later.

The move to a 2nm manufacturing process is expected to deliver significantly higher performance and improved power efficiency, allowing smartphones to run longer on a single battery charge. According to available reports, the Tensor G6 will feature a more powerful CPU, while its graphics processor will have a more compact design.

Another notable upgrade could be the connectivity system. Instead of Samsung's modem, the new Pixel smartphones are expected to use a MediaTek modem, which could improve signal reception and provide a more stable mobile internet connection. The official launch of the Google Pixel 11 series is scheduled for August 12.
