The Date for the Meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Has Been Set

The next meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, the highest representative body of people's power, will be held on September 23, 2026. The corresponding resolution was signed by Khalk Maslakhaty Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the Presidium meeting held on Wednesday.
The forum will be held in Ashgabat, at the "Maslahat Köşgi" Palace.
According to the signed document, local Khalk Maslakhaty councils of the velayats, the cities of Ashgabat, and Arkadag are required to submit lists of nominated public representatives to the Khalk Maslakhaty Office by September 1, 2026, to participate in the state forum.
The Second Resolution of the Presidium established an Organizing Committee to prepare and hold the upcoming high-level meeting. This year, the country's key political forum will coincide with a significant date—the upcoming 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's state independence.
The Office of the People's Council, together with the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, has been tasked with coordinating the preparatory work and providing organizational and methodological support to the velayat, etrap, and city People's Councils.
