Young Talents from Turkmenistan Represented the Country with Distinction at the Copernicus Olympiad in Singapore
The global round of the 7th Copernicus International Olympiad in Mathematics was held in Singapore from June 22 to 27, 2026.
Turkmenistan participated for the first time in this prestigious international competition, which brought together schoolchildren from over 13 countries. Our team's debut was confident and successful: participants from Turkmenistan won six medals—one gold, three silver, and two bronze.
The Copernicus Olympiad is an international intellectual platform where schoolchildren demonstrate their knowledge, logic, speed of thought, and ability to solve high-level problems.
Ayjeren Muhammetnazarova, a student at the Belent Bilim Educational Center in Mary, brought particular pride to the event. She won a gold medal, becoming the Absolute Winner in Category 5 and receiving a special prize—a MacBook Air.
Davut Muhammetnazarov, a student at the Belent Bilim Educational Center in Mary, won a silver medal, representing Turkmenistan with distinction on the international stage.
Geldimyrat Saryyev, a student at School No. 135 in Ashgabat, won a silver medal, demonstrating confidence, diligence, and a high level of preparation.
Emirmuhammet Sabyrov, a student at School No. 35 in Khazar, Balkan Province, also won a silver medal, proving that talented children from various regions of Turkmenistan can achieve international success.
Akhmet Bagtiyarov, a student from Ashgabat School No. 135, won a bronze medal. His result is a worthy achievement and an important step towards new victories.
Melike Begliyeva, a student from Ashgabat School No. 97, also won a bronze medal, demonstrating diligence, confidence, and a thirst for knowledge.
Participation in Copernicus is not only about medals but also valuable international experience, new knowledge, and self-confidence.
