The President Replaced the Minister of Culture and the Head of Turkmengeology, and Made Personnel Changes in the Velayats
During the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on Friday, July 10, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a number of decrees and documents regulating personnel changes in government agencies, state departments, regional administrations, and the media.
In the oil and gas sector, Gurbangeldy Garlyev was dismissed from his post as Chairman of the State Corporation Turkmengeology due to a transfer to another position. Berdymyrat Amanov, previously Deputy Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengas, was appointed the new head of the state corporation.
In the cultural sector, Atageldy Shamyradov was dismissed from his post as Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan for serious shortcomings in his work. Gurbanmyrat Myradaliev, previously deputy head of the agency, was appointed Minister of Culture. The new minister has a probationary period of six months.
Personnel changes also affected the media: Artykguly Khodjaberdiev was dismissed from his position as editor-in-chief of the Nesil newspaper for serious performance shortcomings. Halligozel Shanazarova has been appointed the new editor-in-chief of the newspaper for a six-month probationary period.
A number of important leadership changes have been made in the country's regional administrations. Khodjamyrat Ashirmyradov has been appointed governor of the Lebap region, having been subsequently dismissed from his position as governor of the Balkan region.
Rovshen Dzhumayev, previously head of the Ak Bugdai etrap in the Akhal region, has been appointed head of the Balkan region. Ezigeldi Ashirov, who was previously dismissed from his position as deputy governor of the same region, has been appointed the new governor of the Ak Bugdai etrap.
Durdy Gendzhiev has been relieved of his post as khyakim of the Lebap velayat, remaining in his position as chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Water Resources Management.
In addition, Dovranberdi Annaberdiev has been relieved of his post as khyakim of the Mary velayat due to his transfer to another position. Batyr Orazdurdyyev has been appointed the new head of the Mary velayat administration.
