The Admissions Campaign for Universities and Vocational Schools Begins in Turkmenistan


At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, July 10, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a package of documents regulating state policy in higher and secondary vocational education for 2026. The central event of the educational track will be the official launch of the admissions campaign for higher and secondary vocational educational institutions in the country.
According to the approved admissions plan, entrance examinations and on-site application submission will take place from July 13 to August 24. To ensure complete transparency, strict oversight, and organizational and methodological guidance of the process, the head of state approved the composition of the State Admissions Commission. Furthermore, the khyakimliks of all velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, have been instructed to promptly establish local working groups and provide them with all the necessary technical and infrastructural conditions for proper work with applicants.
Simultaneously, modernization will affect the training system for senior executives and managers. Plans for admission to the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan for the 2026–2027 academic year have been approved. The program covers both long-term retraining for civil servants, lasting two academic years, and specialized intensive courses.
Specifically, schedules have been approved for five-month professional development courses, four-month programs in commercial arbitration, and specialized two-month practical training for local government employees and members of velayat, etrap, and city People's Councils.
Fee-based admission to the Academy's master's programs, which last from one to two years, and to short-term professional development courses for specialists are also regulated. All entrance examinations to the Academy of Public Administration will be organized in strict accordance with the special procedure approved within this package of documents.
