A new high-tech production complex for the advanced processing of non-traditional agricultural and textile raw materials has opened at the Dashoguz cotton spinning mill. The facility will process cotton, wool, reed waste, and cotton stalks (guza-payu), turning them into in-demand materials for the furniture and construction industries.

The new complex has a capacity of 7,200 tons of finished products per year. The project is focused on import substitution: domestically produced, environmentally friendly composite materials are designed to meet the needs of the domestic market in the housing construction and furniture manufacturing sectors.

The facility's production lines are equipped with automated equipment from leading global engineering companies. Key features of the new complex include a circular economy (recycling agricultural residues that were previously disposed of or burned in fields) and a zero-waste cycle: the technological process fully complies with international environmental standards and minimizes the carbon footprint. The commissioning of the facility created 60 new permanent jobs.

Using cotton and reed stalks to create board materials is an effective solution for Turkmenistan's industry, saving resources and developing a green economy through locally sourced, renewable raw materials.
