A New Production Facility Will Be Established at the Balkanabat Iodine Plant

Turkmenistan's chemical industry is expanding its range of export-oriented products through the advanced processing of local raw materials. A new, modern production facility, focused on making products in demand abroad, is planned to open at the Balkanabat iodine plant in the Balkan velayat.
Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov presented the corresponding proposal at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, July 3. As part of the industry's diversification, particular attention is being paid to attracting innovative technologies and expanding direct contacts with foreign high-tech companies.
