Students of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages Undertake Language Internships in Russia and South Korea

The Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages (TNIWL) continues to expand its international academic partnerships. Two groups of the university’s top students have departed for overseas internships to enhance their language proficiency and professional skills.
The first group, consisting of 18 second-year students from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature, has arrived in Moscow. The aspiring philologists are taking part in a 72-academic-hour intensive course developed by Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and the My History Foundation. Running until July 5, the program includes lectures by leading Russian scholars on speech culture and the history of the Russian language, as well as an extensive cultural agenda. Participants earned their places through a competitive two-stage selection process involving written testing and motivational audio presentations.

At the same time, six outstanding students from the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Literature have traveled to Chuncheon, South Korea. From June 29 to July 6, 2026, they are completing an academic internship at Kangwon National University. The program is aimed at deepening their knowledge of the Korean language, improving conversational skills, and familiarizing them with the traditions and culture of East Asia. In the future, the partnership is expected to enable both universities to combine their digital capabilities and jointly develop electronic educational materials.
According to the institute’s leadership, such academic mobility programs significantly enhance the qualifications of future specialists while strengthening Turkmenistan’s friendly scientific, educational, and humanitarian ties with Russia and the Republic of Korea.
