The President of Turkmenistan Received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan


On Wednesday, July 1, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who arrived in Ashgabat on an official visit.
The head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry conveyed warm greetings from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the head of state and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, emphasizing that Astana prioritizes deepening the strategic and good-neighborly partnership with Ashgabat. During the conversation, the parties noted the high dynamics of the interstate dialogue, developing on the principles of equality, mutual trust, and mutual economic interest.
Particular attention was paid to the coordination of efforts on the international stage and within authoritative global structures, including the UN, OSCE, CIS, and ECO. The interlocutors noted the effectiveness of multilateral cooperation in the format of the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the regional dialogue platform "Central Asia Plus."
In the context of trade and economic relations, the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission was identified as a key instrument for the practical implementation of high-level agreements. The parties emphasized that the results of the commission's latest meeting, held recently in Astana, are intended to provide a powerful impetus to the diversification of mutual trade, the influx of investment, and the launch of new joint infrastructure projects.
The cultural and humanitarian sphere was recognized as an equally important area of partnership, where regular contacts in science, education, healthcare, and sports remain key points of contact.
