On June 29, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held meetings with the heads of leading Asian corporations who arrived in the Turkmen capital. The talks with the top management of companies from South Korea and Japan confirmed the long-term nature of industrial cooperation aimed at the profound modernization of Turkmenistan's oil, gas, and chemical industries. The foreign partners also congratulated the country's leadership on the anniversary of the opening of the town of Arkadag and the birthday of the National Leader of the Turkmen People.

New Facilities in Turkmenabat from Daewoo Engineering & Construction

During a meeting between the head of state and Jeong Won-ju, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the South Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., prospects for expanding investment cooperation were discussed. The businessman emphasized the holding's strong interest in working in the Turkmen market, which boasts significant economic potential.

A key focus of the dialogue was the implementation of an ongoing strategic project—the construction of a modern mineral fertilizer production complex at a chemical plant in Turkmenabat. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the launch of this facility will fully meet the domestic market's demand for in-demand chemical products and significantly increase Turkmenistan's export potential.

Jeong Won-ju conveyed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the birthday of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and also congratulated the President on the significant opening of the Arkadag smart city.

Developing the Gas Chemical Industry with Toyo Engineering Corporation

The technological re-equipment of the industrial sector was a key focus of the President of Turkmenistan's talks with Eiji Hosoi, CEO of the Japanese corporation Toyo Engineering Corporation. The head of state expressed confidence that this visit would provide the necessary impetus to bilateral partnership in the oil and gas sector.

The parties cited the construction of the Kiyanly Gas Chemical Complex, the largest in the region, as a successful example of long-standing cooperation. Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed the Turkmen side's readiness to consider new technological proposals from Japanese partners in the field of deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, which is facilitated by the favorable conditions created in the country for foreign capital.

During the meeting, Eiji Hosoi also congratulated the Chairman of the People's Council on his birthday and extended welcoming remarks in honor of the next anniversary of the technological city of Arkadag.

Strategic Vector of Cooperation with Kawasaki Heavy Industries

Ashgabat's long-term partnership with major Japanese businesses was confirmed during a reception with Kenji Sanada, Vice President of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that relations between Turkmenistan and Japan are strategic. Kawasaki Heavy Industries has extensive and successful experience working together in our country, particularly in the gas and chemical industries. The parties outlined new guidelines for collaboration, taking into account the large-scale industrialization programs being implemented in Turkmenistan.

The Japanese guest also asked to convey warm congratulations to National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday and congratulated the head of state on the anniversary of the creation of the region's first innovative "smart city."
