A series of important high-level diplomatic talks on June 29 focused on expanding regional partnerships, implementing major infrastructure projects, and congratulating the National Leader of the Turkmen People on his birthday and the anniversary of the founding of the smart city of Arkadag.
Investments and Urban Development: Meeting with Ahmet Çalık
On June 29, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Ahmet Çalık, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Çalık Holding Group of Companies.
During the meeting, the businessman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to discuss priority areas of cooperation. He emphasized that the Turkish holding is proud to participate in Turkmenistan's large-scale urban development and industrial projects. The head of Çalık Holding noted that the country's high socioeconomic development results have been made possible by long-term government programs and urban development initiatives, a prime example of which is the region's first smart city, Arkadag.

Also on June 29, a telephone conversation took place between National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty on his birthday, wishing him good health and success in his public duties. Noting his personal contribution to the development of interstate dialogue, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also conveyed greetings to the President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
During the conversation, the parties emphasized that regular high-level contacts are setting a steady pace for cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. They noted the steady increase in mutual trade turnover and the development of new investment formats. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for his consistent support of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and international initiatives within the UN.

On the same day, National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, spoke by telephone with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President of Kazakhstan extended sincere congratulations to the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty on his birthday and extended warm greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The two sides noted the strong momentum of bilateral relations, rooted in centuries-old ties of friendship and good-neighborliness. During the discussion of trade and economic issues, it was emphasized that Ashgabat and Astana possess the necessary political will and economic potential to diversify their partnership. They also noted the similarity of both countries' positions on key global issues and their effective cooperation within reputable international organizations.
A Telephone Call from the Russian Federation and Interparliamentary Relations
The development of multifaceted cooperation was the main topic of a telephone conversation between National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko.
The Speaker of the upper house of the Russian parliament warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, wishing him a long life and success in his responsible work. Valentina Matviyenko also conveyed warm greetings and wishes for prosperity from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Speaker of the Khalk Maslakhaty addressed his best wishes to the Russian leadership in return. I would like to note that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to deepening its strategic partnership, in which constructive dialogue at the highest state and interparliamentary levels plays a key role.
