Turkmen University Represents Central Asia at the CDIO 2026 International Engineering Conference
A delegation from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan took part in the 22nd International CDIO Conference 2026. The prestigious event was held from 22 to 25 June at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, bringing together 157 delegates from 71 leading universities across 27 countries.
Turkmenistan was represented by Islam Orazov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Cyber-Physical Systems, and Akhal Akgayev, Director of the Oguz Han Scientific and Technology Center. This year's conference focused on enhancing students' professional development and introducing innovative approaches to assessment and feedback in engineering education.
During the working sessions, the Turkmen representatives introduced international colleagues to the university's key areas of research. They highlighted advanced studies in cyber-physical systems and the latest technological developments carried out at the university's scientific and technology center.
Participation in this high-level international event underscores the growing recognition of Turkmenistan's higher education system. In March 2023, the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University became the first higher education institution in Central Asia that was admitted as a full member of the CDIO Initiative.
