Turkmenistan and Iraq Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Education


On 25 June, Turkmenistan’s Minister of Education, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, held an official meeting with Jabir Najm Abdullah Al-Attar, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq. The talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, science, cultural and humanitarian affairs.
During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of expanding direct cooperation between higher education institutions and schools in both countries. Particular attention was given to launching joint academic programs, promoting exchanges of teachers and students, and implementing initiatives aimed at fostering intercultural dialogue.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to long-term partnership and agreed to further explore new projects that will help elevate educational cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iraq to a new level.
