The second day of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's state visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan was entirely devoted to familiarizing himself with large-scale infrastructure and cultural projects in the Karabakh region. From Baku, the Turkmen leader departed for Fuzuli International Airport, where he was personally met by President Ilham Aliyev.

From the airport, the two leaders traveled to Fuzuli, stopping at the construction site of a new cathedral mosque. This site has special spiritual significance: the mosque, a gift to the Azerbaijani people, is being built on the initiative of National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, using funds from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need.

On behalf of the entire people of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev expressed deep gratitude to the Turkmen side for this monumental symbol of the unbreakable friendship and common religious and cultural foundation of the two states.

The leaders' next stop was Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan. After a stop in the picturesque Dashalty Valley, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan arrived in Shusha, where they were thoroughly familiarized with the city's master development plan, new residential complexes, and the design of another mosque under construction.

An important part of the program was immersion in the region's historical and memorial heritage. The heads of state visited an exhibition dedicated to the state activities of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and viewed busts of prominent artists—Khurshidbanu Natavan, Bulbul, and a monument to composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli. The leaders also ascended the Shusha Fortress—a unique 18th-century fortification that for centuries served as a hub for Eurasian cultural and trade routes.

Another highlight of the visit was a visit to the house-museum of Bulbul, the founder of Azerbaijani professional vocal art. His son, the legendary singer and diplomat Polad Bulbul oglu, who holds the honorary title of People's Artist of Turkmenistan, personally led the distinguished guests on a tour. He emphasized that meeting with the Turkmen leader in Shusha was a great honor for him and a clear testament to the indivisibility of the spiritual roots of the two peoples.

The visit concluded at the famous Jydyr-Dyuzu plateau, which has historically served as the arena for national equestrian competitions. Here, as a sign of the highest respect, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented with a magnificent Karabakh horse named Mert. Ilham Aliyev personally presented the horse's passport to the head of Turkmenistan, expressing his high praise for the Turkmen school of horse breeding.
