QR Code Is Now Mandatory for Turkmen Citizens Entering Vietnam

Turkmen citizens are now required to obtain a QR code before entering Vietnam. This regulation officially came into effect on June 22, 2026. From now on, all foreign nationals, including travelers from Turkmenistan, must complete a mandatory electronic pre-registration process (Pre-Arrival Information) before traveling to Vietnam.
What is important to know?
The digital system was introduced gradually from mid-April, but as of June 22, the requirements have become uniform nationwide:
• Paper arrival forms previously distributed on board aircraft or at arrival areas have been completely abolished.
• Electronic registration is now mandatory for arrivals at all international airports in Vietnam.
How to obtain the QR code?
• Visit the official immigration portal: prearrival.immigration.gov.vn.
• Complete the registration form no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border.
• Save the generated QR code on your smartphone or print it out, as it will be checked during immigration and border control procedures.
