Silent PC Unveils Unique Waterproof PC Powered by AMD Ryzen 9000 Processors
U.S.-based manufacturer Silent PC has introduced one of the most unusual computers built around AMD’s new-generation Ryzen 9000 processors. The system’s standout features are its completely silent operation and a sealed waterproof enclosure certified to the industrial IP65 protection standard.
The device was specifically designed for use in extreme environments. The computer is entirely fanless and lacks the usual front USB ports and audio jacks. Instead, the metal chassis itself serves as a heat sink, dissipating thermal energy generated by the system. This design makes the PC ideal for harsh conditions, allowing it to be deployed on marine vessels, outdoor installations, vehicles, and dusty industrial facilities where conventional computers would quickly fail.
In its base configuration, priced from $3,350, the system is equipped with a six-core AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor, with an optional upgrade to the Ryzen 7 9700X for an additional $165. It also features an ASRock X600-ITX mini motherboard, 32 GB of Crucial DDR5 memory, and a high-speed NVMe solid-state drive.
While the benefits of this model for commercial and industrial applications are obvious, regular users should keep two points in mind. First, the PC does not include a powerful graphics card suitable for demanding gaming. Second, due to its fanless design, the system may reduce performance under heavy thermal loads to prevent overheating.
