The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus Visited Gomel State University


Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev paid a working visit to Francysk Skoryna Gomel State University (GSU), where Turkmen students also receive higher education. During the meeting, the head of the diplomatic mission and the university's rector, Sergey Khakhomov, discussed the current state of academic ties, living and studying conditions for Turkmen youth, as well as prospects for launching joint educational programs and expanding inter-university exchanges.

The official program continued with a cultural and educational event attended by the university's administration, faculty, and Turkmen students. A thematic exhibition of arts and crafts, paintings, and folklore materials prepared by talented students was held in the hall of the academic building. The Ashgabat student ensemble also performed traditional Turkmen dances for the meeting participants.

In his welcoming address to the participants, Ambassador Nazarguly Shagulyev emphasized the significance of the current motto: "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses." The diplomat noted that this slogan embodies the connection between the country's historical heritage and its youth policy, which is focused on the future. The head of the diplomatic mission also congratulated young compatriots on the upcoming 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. At the conclusion of the visit, a presentation video about the country's current socioeconomic achievements was shown to those gathered.
