Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Malaysia, Mashalov, has been appointed Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam

Turkmenistan continues to systematically expand its diplomatic presence and intensify multifaceted dialogue with Southeast Asian countries. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a corresponding decree aimed at strengthening the state's position in the strategically important Asia-Pacific region.
According to the document, Muhammetniyaz Mashalov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Malaysia, residing in Kuala Lumpur, has been simultaneously appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Brunei Darussalam.
This decision is intended to give a powerful impetus to the development of trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Ashgabat and Bandar Seri Begawan as part of deepening cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
