The Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan has published information regarding examinations for applicants who have applied for the scholarship program of Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

The examinations will be held on 14 June 2026 at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Only candidates who have previously submitted their application documents to the Embassy of Japan are eligible to participate.

Participant registration will begin at 9:15 a.m. and close at 9:40 a.m. The examinations are scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. The Embassy has asked participants to enter the building through the rear entrance.

According to the published schedule, examinations for candidates applying under the Research Students program in the fields of natural sciences and social sciences will continue until 12:50 p.m.

For applicants under the Undergraduate Students program, examinations for social science candidates will conclude at 3:00 p.m., while those applying for natural science specialties will finish at 5:10 p.m.

Examinations for candidates under the National Institute of Technology Students program will continue until 4:00 p.m., while participants in the Specialized Training College Students program will complete their examinations by 3:00 p.m.

The MEXT scholarship program provides international students with the opportunity to study at Japanese universities and other educational institutions with financial support from the Government of Japan.
