The Turkmen-American business forum, held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan on June 4, marked a significant upgrade in the institutional framework of bilateral economic relations. The heads of Turkmenistan's ministries and the US delegation, led by Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-American Business Council, spoke about the importance of the Turkmenistan-American Business Cooperation Association (TABCA), established in May of this year. The new structure is designed to become an effective practical platform for direct business-to-business cooperation, complementing existing formats of intergovernmental dialogue and facilitating American capital's access to Turkmenistan's large-scale government programs.

The dynamics of these high-level meetings have laid the foundation for a long-term trend toward modernizing trade and investment activities. Forum participants emphasized that the partnership received impetus from the visits of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to the United States. As part of this policy, Ashgabat confirmed its readiness to implement advanced American technologies on a large scale, while U.S. businesses expressed their intention to significantly expand their presence in the promising Turkmen market in high-value-added sectors.

The parties approved technological priorities for cooperation, where cybersecurity, environmental protection, and digital infrastructure took center stage alongside the fuel and energy sector, transportation, and healthcare. The joint work plans outlined following the roundtable are aimed at accelerating bilateral trade through the new TABCA association. In the traditional agricultural sector, the focus is on high-tech equipment for the agro-industrial complex and innovative solutions in water management.

A series of bilateral meetings between ministries and American entrepreneurs allowed for the detailed development of proposals for supplies and technology exchange.
