The capital of Kazakhstan has welcomed leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states and heads of major international delegations to discuss the large-scale integration of digital technologies into the region’s economy.

This year, the central theme of the international forum is the global digital race and the strategic development of artificial intelligence. In his opening address, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that amid global uncertainty, EAEU countries must seize the historic opportunity for a technological breakthrough. According to him, cooperation in the IT sector should become the foundation for sustainable economic growth across all member states.

The forum featured presentations of several ambitious projects expected to reshape the Eurasian market in the coming years. These include the establishment of a major international artificial intelligence center, the launch of a powerful supercomputer, and the development of a national digital platform. In addition, plans were announced for the construction of a large-scale “Data Center Valley,” with projected investments of approximately $1.5 billion.

Delegates also paid special attention to the implementation of IT solutions in transport and logistics. Digitalization is expected to optimize cargo flows along key international routes and significantly reduce delivery times. For businesses and the public, the forum’s outcomes offer substantial opportunities: automation will simplify trade, accelerate logistics chains, and make digital services across the region more accessible, efficient, and secure.
