On May 16, a large-scale ceremony was held at the Tashkent Recreation Park in Ashgabat to honor Turkmen horse breeders and riders who won the highest titles of "Asian Champion" and "World Champion" at the prestigious equestrian competitions and international Akhal-Teke beauty contest "Pearl of the East 2026" in Uzbekistan.
The winners of the tournament were horses from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan: the stallion Dovamat won the 1600-meter race, and the racehorse Aigytly was named the overall winner of the beauty contest. In recognition of their exceptional skill, the champions' horse breeders were awarded the main prizes of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev—cars and cups.

The Speaker of the Mejlis, members of the Government, foreign diplomats, and master horse breeders, who arrived at the park in newly donated vehicles, participated in the ceremony in Ashgabat. Performances by artists and an art exhibition graced the festivities. The celebration began with a greeting from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who established similar automobile prizes for their Uzbek colleagues who won in individual categories.

At the same time, a mirrored celebration unfolded in Tashkent at Ashgabat Park, where a congratulatory message from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was read, highlighting Turkmenistan's outstanding achievements in developing equestrian sports on the global stage. Synchronized cultural events in the sister cities, parks of which are adorned with sculptures of "heavenly" horses, demonstrated the unbreakable bonds of friendship and a qualitatively new level of strategic partnership between the two fraternal states on the Silk Road.
