National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has arrived in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on a working visit. The plane carrying the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty landed at London International Airport.
The trip is being held on the official invitation of a member of the British Royal Family, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh. The highlight of the visit will be the Turkmen delegation's participation in the prestigious Royal Windsor International Equestrian Games on May 16-17.
A special national exhibition has been set up on the sidelines of this prestigious international event, designed to introduce the phenomenon of Akhal-Teke horses and the deep traditions of Turkmen horse breeding to the European and international public.
This visit takes on particular significance in the year under the motto "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of the Purposeful Winged Horses." The participation of the Head of the Khalk Maslakhaty in events of this caliber in Windsor is a striking example of high-level cultural diplomacy, confirming the Akhal-Teke horse's status as a priceless global treasure, and opens a new chapter in the history of friendly dialogue between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom.
