The Head of State and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, signed the annual spring decree. According to the document, the Armed Forces personnel rotation campaign will take place in the second quarter of this year.
Discharge to the reserve: Military personnel who have served the statutory terms will be discharged to the reserve between April and June 2026.
Regular conscription: During the same period (April-June), male citizens who have reached the age of 18 by the day of conscription, as well as citizens under 27 who have lost the right to a deferment, will join the Armed Forces and other military bodies.
The procedure is carried out in strict accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Law "On Military Duty and Military Service."
For young men returning from service, this period opens opportunities to enroll in higher education or begin working. Traditionally, demobilized soldiers receive support in employment and career guidance.
In addition to the Decree, the President of Turkmenistan signed a corresponding Order addressed to the heads of the country's security agencies. According to the document, the ministers of defense, internal affairs, and national security, as well as the heads of the border and migration services and the Presidential Security Service, are instructed to:
Organize a ceremonial send-off ceremony for those returning to the reserves and reward outstanding soldiers who have demonstrated their skills in combat and social training. The best soldiers will receive awards and gratitude from their commanders.
This step is intended to emphasize the continuity of military traditions and the significant contribution of each soldier to ensuring the security and peaceful development of the country.
