The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) published a report on the visit of National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to the United States. His US visit focused on developing investment dialogue and deepening partnerships with leading American companies in urban development, sports, agriculture, and horse breeding.
During the visit, he held extensive talks with the management of Nicklaus Companies. The topic of discussion was the implementation of projects to build modern golf courses in the city of Arkadag and the Avaza National Tourist Zone. The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty reviewed the company's project proposals and visited several relevant facilities, including the Panther National Golf Club and the Sandhill Crane Golf Club training center, where an exhibition of textile products, including those from Turkmenistan, was held.
The economic agenda of the visit also included a meeting with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council. The parties reaffirmed the long-term nature of their partnerships with American business giants such as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, and CASE. During a separate meeting with Csaba Lejko, President of John Deere's Central Asia and CIS division, the focus was on further modernizing Turkmenistan's agricultural machinery and training qualified personnel for the industry.
The humanitarian and sports agenda highlighted a visit to the La Victoria Equestrian Center. The National Leader of the Turkmen People studied American experience in horse breeding and preparation for international show jumping tournaments, proposing to intensify professional exchanges between horse breeders from both countries. During his stay in the United States, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also met with a number of prominent politicians and businessmen, including Steve Wynn, Isaac Perlmutter, and William Koch.
Following his program in the United States, the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council) arrived in the Federal Republic of Germany. During a working meeting with Turkmen diplomats and relevant officials, issues related to promoting the Akhal-Teke breed in Europe were discussed. Particular attention was paid to preparations for Turkmen equestrians' participation in the 2026 FEI World Championship in Aachen, as well as upcoming shows and equestrian events in the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom.
According to the official statement, the visit demonstrated Turkmenistan's readiness to expand constructive cooperation with foreign partners based on principles of mutual respect.
