Google has integrated its Gemini neural network into the educational platform Khan Academy. The main innovation is Writing Coach — a virtual tutor designed to help school students learn how to write essays and analyze texts without doing the work for them.

Unlike conventional chatbots, Writing Coach does not generate ready-made texts. Its purpose is to guide students through the entire writing process, from outlining the structure to final revision. The algorithm analyzes where a student encounters difficulties and offers hints or examples to support independent problem-solving. The service focuses on three key areas: persuasive writing, literary analysis, and explanatory essays.

The new tool aims to address the lack of individual attention in education. Teachers can monitor the progress of each student and identify those who struggle the most with the material. This allows educators to focus on supporting underperforming students while others work independently with the AI coach. For parents, it offers a convenient way to avoid lengthy explanations of homework by entrusting the learning process to a professional algorithm.

In 2026, Google plans to expand its range of educational tools. The launch of Reading Coach, a service designed to develop reading skills, is expected. The neural network will ask questions based on the reading material, adapting them to each child’s level, and generate detailed reports for teachers.

The adoption of such technologies is reshaping the very essence of education: artificial intelligence is no longer a tool for cheating, but a personal trainer that helps children learn to think critically and articulate their ideas independently.
