On December 18, National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with John Reese, President of the renowned American company Nicklaus Companies.
During the meeting, the businessman congratulated the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. John Reese also noted that Ashgabat's architectural appearance always leaves a lasting impression on him.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan views the development of mass sports and tourism as strategic vectors for sustainable growth. It was noted that the development of modern infrastructure in these areas is being guided by international quality standards, environmental principles, and innovative solutions.
The parties placed particular emphasis on the accumulated positive experience of cooperation. The Ashgabat Golf Club, which meets all international standards, served as a shining example of an effective partnership. The National Leader of the Turkmen People expressed confidence that Nicklaus Companies' extensive experience in designing professional golf courses will be further utilized, including as part of the comprehensive development of the Avaza National Tourist Zone, helping to cement its status as the region's leading resort and sports center.
At the end of the meeting, John Reese confirmed the company's strong interest in continuing the mutually beneficial partnership and its willingness to support Turkmenistan's initiatives to develop world-class sports infrastructure.
