Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev presented a report on the performance of the agro-industrial complex for the eleven months of this year at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday.
According to him, the agricultural sector recorded a production growth rate of 114.4% compared to the same period of the last year, and the investment plan was fulfilled with an impressive result of 274.5%.
The State Water Resources Committee, which achieved 136.1%, and the State Concern Türkmenpagta (Turkmen Cotton) with 127%, significantly exceeded their planned targets.
The food industry achieved 111.2% of its plan, while the livestock and poultry industry associations each achieved 103.6%.
The state association Türkmengallaönümleri (Turkmen Grain) completed the period with a 102.8% performance rate, the Ministry of Agriculture with 102.7%, and the staff of the association Türkmenobahyzmat (Turkmen Agricultural Supply) achieved 101.3% of their plans.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and the association Türkmen atlary (Turkmen Horses) each achieved the same result—100.4%.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that sugar beet harvesting continues in the Mary region, while wheat fields are undergoing necessary maintenance.
At the same time, land preparation work is underway across the country for the upcoming cotton sowing, including plowing, application of mineral fertilizers, and repairs to agricultural machinery.
The head of state has instructed to strictly monitor land preparation for next year's harvest and ensure the expansion of food crop production in the country.
