Public transportation in the capital of Turkmenistan will be temporarily adjusted from December 9 to 12 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality. The adjustments will affect several bus routes, which will bypass Ashgabat's central avenues, according to the Ministry of Road Transport's website.
During the celebrations, buses will bypass Garashsyzlyk, Bitarap Turkmenistan, and TurkmenbashyFrom the Gurtly stop, the bus travels along Alisher Navoi Street, Atamurat Niyazov Avenue, parallel to the western side of Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue, turns at the Yildyz roundabout on Oguz Khan Street, and returns to Atamurat Niyazov Avenue. The route then heads east along Atamurat Niyazov Avenue and exits onto Garashsyzlyk Avenue. From Garashsyzlyk Avenue, it turns onto 10th Yil Abadanchylyk Avenue and then continues along its original route. Avenues via alternative routes. These changes will affect routes 7, 9, 13, 14, 160, 18, 23, 47, 53, 54, 59, 73, and 113.
Route №14 "Gurtly - Parahat-7"
From the Gurtly stop, the bus travels along Alisher Navoi street, Atamurat Niyazov Avenue, parallel to the western side of Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue, turns at the “Yyldyz” roundabout on Oguz han street, and returns to Atamurat Niyazov Avenue. The route then heads east along Atamurat Niyazov Avenue and exits onto Garashsyzlyk Avenue. From Garashsyzlyk Avenue, it turns onto “10th Yyl Abadanchylyk” Avenue and then continues along its original route.
Route №59 "Gurtly - Kopetdag Avenue"
From the Gurtly stop, the bus travels west, then south along Gökdepe Road. It bypasses the Turkmenistan Broadcasting Center ring road and returns along the same Gökdepe Road.
Routes №13 "Avtokombinat - Gurtly," #23 "Parahat-7 - Gurtly," and #113 "Avtokombinat - Gurtly"
From the stop, buses travel along Gorogly street, then onto Nurmuhammet Andalib Street, where they continue along their original routes.
Route №18 "Parahat-7 - International Airport"
From this stop, buses travel to the International Airport and return along Atamurat Niyazov Avenue.
Route №47 "Gurtly - Bus Station"
From the Gurtly stop, the route goes via Hoja Ahmet Yasawi Street and Nurmuhammet Andalyb Street.
Route №54 "Gurtly - Arkadag Hotel"
From the Gurtly stop, the bus travels along Alisher Navoi Street, Atamurat Niyazov Avenue, parallel to the western side of Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue, makes a detour at “Yyldyz” on Oguz han Street, and returns to Atamurat Niyazov Avenue. It then continues east along Atamurat Niyazov Avenue, exits onto Garashsyzlyk Avenue, then onto “10th Yyl Abadanchylyk” Avenue, and then continues along its original route.
Route № 73 "Gurtly - Parahat-7"
From the Gurtly stop, the bus travels along Oguz-han Street, makes a detour at the “Yyldyz” roundabout, and then travels along the parallel western side of Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue and Atamurat Niyazov Avenue. From Garashsyzlyk Avenue, it returns to Oguz-Khan Street and continues along its previous route.
Route № 7 "Gurtly - Bus Station"
From the Gurtly stop, the route goes along Magtymguly and Atamurat Niyazov avenues, then along Aga Berdiyev and Geldy Bashiev streets, exits onto Garry Kuliyev street and continues on.
Route № 53 "Gurtly - Bus Station"
From the Gurtly stop, the bus travels along Gorogly Street, Atamurat Niyazov Avenue, Hoja Ahmet Yasawi Street, Nurmuhammet Andalyb Street, and Zynhara Street.
Routes № 9 "Avtokombinat - Neutrality Monument" and № 160 "Arzuv - Chandybil Market"
From the stops, buses turn right at the intersection of “Gyzyl Yyldyz” Street and “10th Yyl Abadanchylyk” Avenue and continue along their previous route.
