President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved the initiative to establish the international digital technology center Enterprise Uzbekistan in the country. The corresponding decree was published on Monday on the National Legislation Database portal.
The document states: “Approve the proposal to establish the international digital technology center Enterprise Uzbekistan.”
The explanatory section notes that the center is being created to position Uzbekistan as one of the leading IT hubs in the region. Enterprise Uzbekistan will focus on software development, providing digital consulting, and delivering remote outsourcing services. It is also planned to produce video games, digital content, and solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies.
According to the decree, a dedicated area with a special legal regime, developed in accordance with international standards, will be allocated for the center.
Earlier, the President of Uzbekistan announced that between 2026 and 2030, it is planned to attract $1 billion in investments to develop the fintech sector. In addition, starting in 2026, pilot projects for the implementation of digital currencies will be launched in Uzbekistan.
