At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, preparations for the upcoming Neutrality Day and New Year celebrations were a separate topic of discussion.
Holiday shopping will begin on December 5 in shopping centers. Shopping center services will organize sales at all markets and stores in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and throughout the country. Mobile retail outlets will also be operating to ensure widespread availability of goods.
By tradition, large New Year's trees will be erected in major cultural centers, along avenues, in parks, and at venues where public events are held. The country's main Christmas tree will take its place on the square in front of the Alem Cultural and Entertainment Center.
The head of state instructed that high-quality decorations be ensured, emphasizing that this is essential for ensuring a comfortable leisure experience for residents and visitors of the capital during the holiday season. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that markets and stores be provided with sufficient food products, including vegetables, melons, and fruits and berries, and that work on the ground be properly organized.
