The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has announced the opening of the document submission process for admission to higher educational institutions in the People's Republic of China and Hungary for the 2026/2027 academic year. According to the newspaper "Turkmenistan", the submission of applications will take place from December 1 to December 15, 2025, at the International University for Humanities and Development.
Studying at Chinese Universities
Citizens of Turkmenistan with a complete secondary education, fluent in English, and aged between 18 and 25 years are eligible to participate in the competition. In addition to the standard set of documents, applicants must provide certificates from international exams such as SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, or HSK, as well as the results of the CSCA (China Scholastic Competency Assessment) test. Candidates must also confirm that they have not previously received a scholarship from the Chinese Government.
Admission to Hungarian Universities
Applications are accepted from school graduates of the 2025–2026 academic year who will turn 18 by August 31, 2026. For admission, it is necessary to provide a certificate from one of the exams: SAT, TOEFL, or IELTS. Unlike the requirements of Chinese universities, the CSCA exam is not required. It is also necessary to provide a birth certificate and a certificate of permanent residence.
The selection of applicants for both countries will be based on competitive academic assessment results. Advantages in admission will be given to winners of national Olympiads and members of the Turkmenistan team at international Olympiads in general education subjects.
