The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is providing support to the government of Turkmenistan in the development of the Ashgabat Stock Exchange, Trend reports citing USAID public relations specialist Tammy Palchikov.
The agency has conducted a comparative legal analysis of the activities of the Ashgabat Stock Exchange and will create a platform that will support the training and research necessary to improve its activities.
According to the results of the analysis, it is planned to apply international standards to the national regulatory framework and promote the participation of the management of the Ashgabat Stock Exchange in international associations related to the securities markets.
In October, USAID, in partnership with the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), held is an online seminar designed to support the development of the Ashgabat Stock Exchange and to attract investment in the country's economy.
