Turkmenistan Marks Independence Day With Health Care Conference in Ashgabat
23.09.2025 | 09:34 |A scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence was held at the Training and Research Center for Maternal and Child Health of the Myrat Garriyev State Medical University. The event brought together university faculty, doctors, researchers, young specialists, and students.
Speakers emphasized that protecting public health is an important priority of the social policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The focus of the conference was the State Program Saglyk, which provides for the development of preventive medicine, improved accessibility of medical services, and cooperation with international organizations.
Special attention was given to the training of qualified specialists. The university educates future family doctors, pediatricians, obstetricians-gynecologists, while also working to improve the skills of practicing physicians. Modern technologies, including telemedicine, are actively being integrated into the educational process, enabling consultations and medical boards on pressing issues.
Conference participants highlighted the significant progress achieved in Turkmenistan’s healthcare system, expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people for creating conditions for the development of the younger generation, and wished them health and long life.
