The official presidential decree published following the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty represents an important event for thousands of residents of Turkmenistan. The document, which formalized the creation of new etraps in four velayats, is not just an administrative decision but a tangible step aimed at improving living conditions for residents in the regions.
In accordance with the decree, khyakimliks (local administrations) were established for the newly formed etraps: Altyn Asyr in Akhal velayat; Garashsyzlyk and Gubadag in Dashoguz velayat; Farab, Dovletly, and Garabekevul in Lebap velayat; and Oguzkhan etrap in Mary velayat.
The creation of local government bodies is the practical implementation of a policy aimed at ensuring the necessary social and living conditions for the people. Now that each new etrap will have its own administration, government services, social support, and infrastructure projects will become much closer to residents. This will allow for more efficient resolution of everyday issues and accelerate the development of these areas.
The document also obliges regional khyakimliks, in conjunction with relevant ministries, to prepare and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers draft structures and staffing plans for the new administrations. This is the next important step that will breathe life into these decisions and make them a reality for everyone.
