Microsoft is updating "File Explorer" in Windows 11 for a more convenient experience
22.08.2025 | 16:45 |Microsoft is working on a major update to the "File Explorer" interface in Windows 11 to make it more user-friendly and faster. The main new feature is the addition of new buttons that will appear when a user hovers the cursor over a file. This will allow one-click access to commands, saving time.
Among the new features are:
• Quick access to folders, favorites, and shared files.
• The ability to ask a question about a file directly in Copilot.
• Instant opening of the context menu.
In addition, File Explorer will soon have an "AI Actions" submenu, which will offer powerful tools for working with files, such as searching with Bing, blurring backgrounds, and removing objects. These changes are designed to simplify daily tasks and make file management more intuitive.
