According to Bloomberg, the primary candidate for this collaboration is Google Gemini. This potential alliance is seen as surprising, given the long-standing rivalry between the two companies.

The decision to seek an external partner is driven by Siri's growing performance gap compared to competitors and user dissatisfaction. It is reported that Google has already begun training Gemini specifically for Apple's servers. Such a close integration of platforms raises important questions regarding the protection of user data privacy.

A partnership with Gemini would enable Siri to provide more personalized and proactive responses, better remember the context of a conversation, and more deeply interact with applications within the Apple ecosystem. The company has also previously held discussions with OpenAI and Anthropic, but Google Gemini is currently considered the main option.
