Year-Round IT Hub to Be Established on the Caspian Sea Coast
28.07.2025 | 13:05 |A year-round IT hub is planned to be built on the coast of the Caspian Sea in the Republic of Dagestan. The project presentation will take place in October–November 2025 as part of the 3rd International Caspian Digital Forum, Deputy Prime Minister of the region Rizvan Gazimagomedov said at a press conference.
The project will include a center for training IT specialists, where participants will be able to study, develop software products, and relax. The complex will also feature a data processing center and its own information storage system. The entire infrastructure will be provided with the necessary resources for full operation.
Gazimagomedov also noted that active implementation of digital solutions in the agro-industrial sector is planned in Dagestan. In particular, the use of drones and sensors is envisaged to monitor grain ripening times, treat fields, and apply agrochemicals.
The projects to create the IT hub and digitize agriculture are part of the region’s strategy to develop high-tech industries.
