Turkmen companies are invited to a UK Tech Week

Representatives of the public and private sector, as well as academic circles are invited to the Virtual UK Tech Week, which will be held in an online format from 16 to 18 February. Conference, organized by the Department of International Trade of Great Britain (DIT) in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology of Turkey, will focus on exploring the role of digital and green technologies in post-pandemic recovery. Exclusive program reports, panel discussions, and seminars will cover several key topics – digital manufacturing, smart cities, digital healthcare and medical technologies, and renewable energy sources.

The DIT Global Entrepreneurship Program will hold a “master class”, which will provide tips on how to access finance and fundraising in the UK market.

Entrepreneurs will be able to learn more about their business expandability, hold individual meetings with various experts and service delivery units, and representatives of universities and research institutes will get acquainted with the possibilities of financing research. It should be noted that last year several Turkmen companies took part in this conference.

The UK is preparing to host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021, so the main task of the participants is to discuss the economic recovery taking into account the reduction of carbon emissions.

Among the main speakers are Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia David Armstrong, British Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey Judith Slater.

More information about UK Tech Week can be found on the official website of the event, where registration of participants will take place until February 15, 2021. E-mail address: ditturkey@fcdo.gov.uk
