"Talented Descendants of Oguz Khan": an innovative olympiad in Turkmenistan
18.06.2025 | 15:30 |The Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan successfully hosted the integrated Olympiad, "Talented Descendants of Oguz Khan." This initiative aimed to elevate educational standards, identify talent, and stimulate interest in science among the younger generation. Designed to meet international standards, the Olympiad was not merely a subject-based competition but a comprehensive platform for developing critical thinking, scientific aptitude, and creative abilities in young people.
This year, the Olympiad attracted thousands of schoolchildren: out of 2,500 participants from grades 9-12 in the first round, over 1,000 advanced to the second, with 60 of the most talented reaching the final. For these finalists, the university organized not only competitive events but also an intensive scientific program. This included practical sessions in modern laboratories, lectures from leading international professors, and robotics workshops. Participants also had the opportunity to interact with successful university students, which inspired them in their own scientific pursuits.
The project's effectiveness is underscored by the fact that hundreds of former Olympiad participants are now studying at this prestigious university. "Talented Descendants of Oguz Khan" represents a crucial event that fosters innovative thinking in the younger generation and instills confidence in their future, thereby preparing future specialists for the nation.
