Power Central Asia – China: the first regional energy forum
12.06.2025 | 23:52 |On June 16–17, the capital of Kazakhstan will host the first regional energy forum Power Central Asia + China, timed to the Central Asia – China Summit.
The main goal of the forum is to create a solid foundation for joint projects in the investment, industrial, scientific and educational spheres. The forum will help attract investment in key sectors of the economy, including renewable energy sources, hydrogen energy and the modernization of the fuel and energy complex based on ESG principles (environmental, social and corporate governance).
The business program of the forum will cover a wide range of topical issues and practical interaction formats, round tables to discuss legislative initiatives, as well as B2B, G2B and G2G meetings to establish direct contacts.
The forum will bring together key players in the energy market and representatives of government agencies, including government delegations from China and Central Asian countries, heads of major energy and industrial corporations, representatives of international financial institutions: the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, as well as scientists and market analysts.
It is planned to sign more than 20 strategic agreements and memorandums of cooperation, present new investment projects, create a permanent Secretariat of the forum and launch a digital platform for monitoring joint projects, launch joint educational and personnel initiatives to train a new generation of specialists in the energy sector, according to the website of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
The forum is organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the Association for the Promotion of Infrastructure and Innovative Development with the support of leading energy corporations and institutions, including China Southern Power Grid, PowerChina, Huawei, Energy China, KazMunayGas, Qazaq Gaz and Kazakh Invest.
