A party for many children: how the children's concert at the Turkmen Conservatory went
04.06.2025 | 19:35 |Sometimes, after a long day at work, an adult just wants to sit at home for an hour or two in silence. But no. The kids immediately pounce on you. And the first question: Mom, what did you bring? Well, you already know the further scenario of events. And how can you not love these fidgets? After all, they keep us in good shape and do not let us relax. Children are our everything, and motivators, and inspirers, and incentives.
This is exactly what the organizers of the concert dedicated to Children's Day wanted to tell about. The musical festival under the motto "Me, you, he, she - together a friendly country" took place at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva. The main characters, performers, musicians, singers and dancers at this musical festival were the children themselves. The organizers of the show - vocal department accompanist Ekaterina Darchia and senior teacher of the general piano department Elena Arakelyan, as always, tried their best. The repertoire was selected for any music lover's taste, and the talent of the young performers was admirable.
And so, at the hour "X", the hall, packed to capacity, was already bursting at the seams. The guests of the evening, they were also the parents of the children busy in the concert, were looking for places closer to the stage. The room was buzzing: everyone was talking at the same time, getting to know each other on the go, bragging about the achievements of their beloved children, showing photos ... And at this time, the children were also communicating behind the scenes. And if the parents in the hall enthusiastically told each other about their beloved daughters and sons, then the teenagers behind the scenes tried in every possible way to emphasize their independence from their parents. A classic of the genre. Fathers and sons!
But there was something that evening that united both adults and children. Everyone was on the same wavelength that day and understood each other with half a word and half a glance. After all, they gathered here for the sake of the concert, for the sake of the holiday and the heroes of the occasion - for the sake of the children.
And so, the musical evening opens. The orchestra thunders, the choir of the children's music school N4 "Singing Nightingales" comes on stage. The children, led by their artistic director Gulyalek Bayrammyradova and accompanists Elena Arakelyan, Leyli Garyagdyeva and Ainur Otuzova, learned a large and varied repertoire. For example, that evening they performed the songs of Chary Nurymov "We are the flowers of the Motherland", Jeren Kurbanklycheva "Yagyshly gun". The young choir also performed the famous song by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie “We Are the World”, and the equally famous song “Bibidi bobidi boo” from the Disney cartoon “Cinderella” and the humorous “Tango of the Fly”.
The soloists of the choir were Guljennet Manyyeva, Nyazli Pirkuliyeva and Suleiman Ovezov. In addition to the accompanists, the choir was also accompanied by the orchestra of the Ashgabat specialized school with a musical focus N 42 under the artistic direction of Dovran Dovletov. The orchestra was good! The guys, as they say in the musical environment, were well-coordinated and felt each other.
The festive program went on as usual. It was the turn of Uzeyir Hajibeyov's wonderful operetta "Arshin Mal Alan". Solo numbers from the musical comedy were performed by Gunel Izzatova, Ilya Garayev and Tadzhmahal Shemmiyeva. After the orchestral overture, everyone's favorite melodies sounded one after another, and with bright oriental themes, the listeners immersed themselves in the atmosphere of the ancient cities of Shusha and Baku. The "Girls' Choir" sounded magnificently. But everyone, of course, was captivated by the duet of Telli and Veli. Their parts were performed by Khatyja Bekbayeva and Emirkhan Nazarov, who transformed into a pair of servants in love. To Telli's question, relevant at all times, "Do you have money?" The whole hall answered in chorus, "Yes! Yes!" And then Telli and Veli started dancing!
Young pianists from Music School No. 1 Veronika Osoba and Yunus Tadzhimuradov performed "Dance of the Girls in Black" by Chary Nurymov and "Tico Tico" by Zequinha de Abreu expressively, artistically and musically. A graceful spring waltz on the violin was performed by a student of the special boarding school at TNC, the sweet and smiling Sonya Nasyrova.
Then the concert continued with a very touching number - lines from the poem by poetess Natalia Zadorozhnaya "Conversation between a Mother and Her Son" were heard from the stage. And what is important, this number was not performed by actors or professional readers. But much better! They were a real mother and son: Ekaterina and Salikh Darchia.
The poetic words they performed conveyed maternal feelings and experiences, pure and unconditional love so subtly and accurately, so clearly described children's impartiality, openness and filial devotion that many in the audience involuntarily shed tears. And the performers themselves could not hold back.
The stage was given over to the dutar ensemble "Ylham" from music school No. 2. The guys performed the song "Durnalar" by Akmurad Charyev. When a team is well-coordinated and works with 100 percent dedication, it is immediately noticeable. For which special thanks to artistic director Kakamurad Charyev. Then the host announced to the guests that young Turkmen composer, Laureate of the Gulbaba State Prize, winner of the international competitions named after Karamanov, the festival "Sounds of Dutar" 13-year-old Tylla Shirova would take part in this concert, and the laureate of the international competitions "Frulato", "Ciao, Italy" talented oboist Eziz Garyagdyev would perform with her. As a duet, they performed Tylla’s compositions “Prayer” and “Hasardagy”, dedicated to Magtymguly. The audience applauded the young musicians for a long time, thanking them for their magnificent performance.
Then it was the turn of the children's ensemble of the Mukam Palace "Archabil" (artistic director - People's Artist of Turkmenistan Khakberdi Allamuradov). Young students of teacher Suleiman Charyev dashingly tapped out oriental rhythms and, it should be noted, they never lost their rhythm.
The program continued with vocal performances. The song of Maxim Dunaevsky "Lady Perfection" from the film "Mary Poppins, Goodbye" was performed with feeling by Shirin Dzhumaeva. No less interesting was the performance of Tigran Mansurov, who played the melody of composer Sholom Secunda "With me you are beautiful" on the clarinet (accompanist - Kakazhan Khudaiberdyev). The young singer Aylar Tsarkova, in turn, very soulfully sang the song by Mikael Tariverdiev "The Little Prince" from the feature film "Passenger from the Equator", and Abdurakhman Mammetdzhumaev sang the work by Alexander Brasovyan "Or Love".
Well, almost at the end, so that all the guests remained in high spirits and in no way got bored, dancers from the Lezginka School "Sunzha" (artistic director Allaberdi Atayev) jumped onto the stage. The guys were so wild on stage that many in the audience got up from their seats and started dancing. The fabulous lezginka was followed by the final song by David Tukhmanov "My Homeland", which all the young participants of the concert sang together. And while they were standing on the stage, each of the parents in the audience looked at their child with pride and love.
Looking at this touching scene, I was transported back to my childhood. When we were little, every year on June 1st our parents joked that in addition to Children's Day, it would be a good idea to establish a Day of Protection of Parents from Children. My three brothers and I were always amused by this idea. But, as they say, there is some truth in every joke. Do you remember that monkey from the cartoon? She has a bunch of little kids and they are always up to something. And she, a tortured mother of many children, in addition to her household responsibilities, also had to chase after her children, apologize to the neighbors, and fix everything that her children did. Oh, if that monkey could talk, she would definitely scream "Save me!" But I understood all this when I myself became a mother. And you know what? After this wonderful concert, I suddenly realized that I would never trade my life as a cornered monkey with a bunch of children for anything else.
The concert is over. The lights will soon go out in the hall, and all the smartly dressed guests will go home and turn into ordinary moms and dads. And again, it will be an ordinary family evening. And again dad, shouting "Take me for a ride," will be used as all sorts of unimaginable means of transport. And mom, as usual, will go to her office - to the kitchen. And the cries of little gangsters "Life or a treat?" will ring out in all corners of the apartment, interspersed with the clatter of breaking furniture and the tinkling of glass. But isn't that the joy of parenthood? You take a sedative, and life is good again. There is no time to be bored with children. After all, children are our everything.
