A creative meeting was held at Magtymguly Fragi Secondary School in Tajikistan
30.04.2025 | 09:40 |A creative meeting dedicated to strengthening Turkmen-Tajik friendship took place on April 29, 2025, at the Magtymguly Fragi Secondary General Education School No. 8, located in the Dusti district of the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Writers' Union of Tajikistan, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tajikistan, the administration of the Magtymguly Fragi School, and the Cultural Society of Tajik Turkmens. Writers, poets, journalists, representatives of educational bodies and local authorities, as well as schoolchildren, participated in the event.
During the event, the Writers' Union of Tajikistan donated collections of works by Tajik authors to the school. The Embassy of Turkmenistan, in turn, presented books by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the esteemed President of Turkmenistan as gifts.
The First Secretary of the Embassy of Turkmenistan A. Bayramov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Writers' Union of Tajikistan A. Mirkhoja, the People's Writer of Tajikistan S. Abdulhamid, the editor-in-chief of the "Dusti" magazine N. Zaynuddinzoda, the editor-in-chief of the "Adabiyot va san'at" newspaper, poet K. Nasimbek, and the chairman of the Cultural Society of Tajik Turkmens D. Gayypnazarov delivered welcoming and insightful speeches at the event.
It was noted that the school named after the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi serves as a living symbol of the enduring friendship between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, which is developing under the leadership of the heads of the two states. A special emphasis in the speeches was placed on the humanistic and universal significance of Magtymguly’s poetic heritage, which promotes the ideas of peace, harmony, and trust.
As part of the event, an exhibition dedicated to the artistic heritage of the Turkmen and Tajik peoples was also organized, including displays reflecting the art of Turkmen carpet weaving. The books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the esteemed President of Turkmenistan particularly attracted the attention of the participants.
The cultural part of the event was enhanced by a performance of the national Turkmen dance, Kushtdepdi, by the dance group of the Cultural Society of Tajik Turkmens, which evoked vivid and warm emotions from all those present.
The holding of this creative meeting was a significant contribution to the further strengthening of friendship, cultural exchange, and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
